What To Expect On The Day

The practical test is always a nervous day for anyone who takes their test. The best thing to do is try and relax as much as you can and ensure you keep hydrated and rested. One of the best ways of easing the nerves is to make sure you have prepared well. Make sure you arrive at the test centre as early as possible to give you as much time as possible to prepare. -Two “show me, tell me” questions covering vehicle safety and maintenance

-Twenty minutes of general driving, where you’ll be guided by the examiner, and will also need to perform one of the following manoeuvres:

-Parallel parking

-Bay parking

-Pulling up on the right

Remember that the 20 minutes independent driving can either be done by following sign posts or via following the sat nav, so make sure in your lessons that you are familiar with both ways of navigating.
